Vancouver CanSing Adult Choir SPRING SING

Wednesday, April 27th, 2016

On Tuesday, May 17, 8 – 9pm, Cityview Church (4370 Sophia St) the 30 voice Vancouver CanSing Spring Session Adult Choir will be inviting audience members to sing along. Admission is by donation. Suggested amount: $5 – $10/person.

The choir welcomes all who wish to raise their voice in celebration of spring! It is a great opportunity for adult singers to check out the VCS adult choir program – serious singers, shower singers and those who have not experienced the wonderful feeling of singing with a choir.

The event will be conducted by artistic director, Gerda Blok-Wilson and accompanied by Kevin Eng. Guest performers will be the VCS Level 4 CHORthemo youth choir.

Audience selections will include SOUND OF MUSIC (theme song), A BICYCLE BUILT FOR TWO, TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME and BEATLES MEDLEY. VCS Adult choir will perform a spring selection including PUSSY WILLOWS CATTAILS (Gordon Lightfoot), SEASONS OF LOVE (Rent), HOLD ON! (African American Spiritual), CANTATE DOMINO (Hans Leo Hassler), CRIPPLE CREEK (American Fiddle Tune) and THE TURTLE DOVE (English folk song).
