Thank you to VCS CLOWNS cast members for the wonderful, energetic storytelling!!

It was fantastic to watch everyone grow as singers and actors this year.  I’m so proud of you all.  You’ve given such joy to so many people.

I’m always a bit sad when projects like CLOWNS end.  But as our final song reminds us: “The best in life is still to come.”

There were so many positive comments from the audience and I’m still getting emails. One child at the Friday concert said, “How do they learn all of that?”

Also, thank you to parents for helping to make this second VCS musical happen and for the beautiful flowers!!

I’m already looking at musicals for next spring.  Ones that will stretch your acting and singing even more.  Cedar Shayel

Wishing good cheer to our neighbours!

Sunday, December 16th, 2012

Thank you to the carolers who sang a pretty classy set of seasonal songs at Hillcrest Saturday, Dec 15th.  Wishing good cheer to our neighbours and getting into the Christmas spirit ourselves was a highlight for me and I know many of you.  Seeing the smiling faces and even people joining in on “Five hockey sticks” (Moose in a Maple Tree lyrics) was fantastic!  THANK YOU to Eileen Cervi and the skating club for so generously sharing their goodies with us and to Lorelei Lauten (Hillcrest Centre) for hosting us.

 MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!

Christmas Caroling December 15th, 11am – 12

Wednesday, December 12th, 2012

Here’s the selection of Christmas Carols (also attached pdf) we’ll be singing Saturday, December 15th, 11am – 12 at Hillcrest Community Centre (4575 Clancy Loranger Way – former Olympic Curling site) so you can review the words/melodies, etc.  I’ve listed some sites below, if you’re not sure of the melodies.  The “Huron Carol” is a recording of my former choir…PG Bel Canto Choir singing back up vocals with soloist, Jeannette Gallant!

We have 20 people signed up so we’ll have a great time!  Plan to meet at the entry near the Blue Parrot kiosk 15 mins prior to singing.  If you are late, we’ll be moving about so listen for the beautiful singing and join us!

Please feel free to invite family members/friends along.  I’ll bring copies for those who signed up so let me know if you’ll need an extra copy for a friend/family member.
