CHORthemo is an exciting ensemble and this will be its 5th season. The advanced choir program offers singers the opportunity to achieve the highest artistic standards in interpretation, movement and singing through the study of quality choral literature. Singers will have the opportunity to work with voice teachers, professional conductors, choreographers and drama coaches and the VCS Adult Choir. This is also a great way to build amazing life-long friendships.

Christmas4Led by Gerda Blok-Wilson and accompanied by Kevin Eng, this performing choir (boys and girls age 9 – 18) will offer singers a wide variety of 2, 3 and 4part mixed voice repertoire (including boys changing voices), more advanced vocal technique and musical theatre stage experience. This is an auditioned choir. New singers will be contacted by Artistic Director, Gerda Blok-Wilson, regarding an audition/interview.

We are looking for singers (boys and girls) who love to be on stage and demonstrate boundless enthusiasm! The Level 3 and 4 choirs will rehearse together for some warm up and songs and also on their own.

Please take note that registration with payment will be considered complete and singers will be guaranteed a position and receive music at first rehearsal. With online registration, you will immediately receive a receipt for tax purposes so please save this. For returning members, if you wish to pay at first rehearsal, please email to confirm this.

Payment of fees and registration online is preferred. However, registration may be paid by cheque or cash (place in an envelope labeled clearly with name, address, phone number and email).

Please be informed that your picture and name may be used on a program, in a newsletter, newspaper or website.

In case of illness or unforeseen circumstances, either a substitute conductor will take the rehearsal or the rehearsal will be rescheduled.

Membership in Vancouver CanSing involves committing to all rehearsals and performances and advertising events by putting up posters, emailing and inviting friends and family to shows. If you see any reason that this commitment would be a challenge for you, please email prior to registering.
